About
The Department of Textile Engineering at Adıyaman University (ADYU) started teaching and education activities at the ADYU campus in Besni/Adıyaman in the 2018-2019 Fall semester.
As the newest Textile Engineering department in Turkey, our purpose is to ensure;
· to educate engineers who; are highly equipped with qualified education, are open to improvement, is creative and responsible, cherish ethical values, are good at communication, and who can effectively solve problems to serve the Turkish textile industry
· to provide the as-obtained results from both the ongoing and finalized scientific research activities, with universal quality, about up to date topics via inter-/national publications for the benefit of both the society and the textile industry,
· to bring bright students together with the faculties that are specialized in their fields of research, and
· to become a pioneering teaching and education foundation, with high reputation in both national and international levels, in the field of textile engineering.
Mission
To educate engineers who; are capable of working successfully within all different fields of textile engineering, are highly equipped with qualified education, are open to improvement, are creative and cherish ethical values, are good at communication, and can effectively solve problems. Also, to serve the textile industry by providing the as-obtained results from both the ongoing and finalized scientific research activities.
Vision
To become a respectable department by; contributing to the development of textile engineering science and technology via conducting novel research activities while considering the relevant developments at an international level, by developing and updating its necessary medium for the above-mentioned research activities, and by updating the as-given curriculum to educate textile engineers who are specialized in this field, and who can conduct practices that would transform his/her as-obtained knowledge into a benefit for the good of both society and humanity.
