TECHNICAL TOUR TO GÖMÜKAN DAM ORGANIZED FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT STUDENTS

On October 15, 2025, a technical tour was organized to the Gömükan Dam construction site for third and fourth-year students of the Civil Engineering Department at Adıyaman University, under the guidance of Dr. Zeyneb KILIÇ, a faculty member of the Hydraulics Department, with the aim of contributing to the professional development of our students.

With transportation support provided by our university, our students had the opportunity to observe the dam construction process on site and obtain detailed information from experts.

As part of the trip, the DSİ Adıyaman 203rd Branch Directorate and the YAPIYOL + EF-NUR + ASİL Joint Venture, which is carrying out the project, gave a technical presentation to our students about the dam project. Following the presentation, the construction site was toured, and the technical details of the dam construction were explained on site. 

Through this technical tour, our students observed the practical applications of the theoretical knowledge they had learned in class and gained important information about the planning, construction, and control processes of dam projects.

The technical tour, which was realized through inter-institutional cooperation, greatly contributed to reinforcing our students' theoretical knowledge with practical information.
